If Kaamelott is full of unforgettable characters, the Roi Burgonde imposed himself as one of the most cult, thanks to the delirious performance of Guillaume Briat. A ruler both formidable and incomprehensible, he sows panic (and laughter) at every appearance, with his impossible accent and his enigmatic speeches. Who has never tried to repeat “C'est l'auberge du Chevalier Blanc !” while imitating his famous delivery?

In 2023, Guillaume Briat did the extended family of Trolls & Légendes the great pleasure of joining them. From the moment he arrived, he won over festival-goers with his availability and good humour, always ready for a photo or an anecdote. The signing sessions let fans discover a generous actor, close to his audience and always quick to slip in a joke worthy of his character.

During the talks he shared the other side of Kaamelott, explaining, not without humour, how hard it is to keep a straight face in front of Alexandre Astier’s improvisations, and the art of speaking “Burgundian” without ever being understood by the other knights.

Guillaume Briat is not only the Roi Burgonde: he also lent his voice to Obélix in the Astérix animated films, and appears regularly in theatre, cinema and television. But at Trolls & Légendes he will always be the one who turned a simple banquet scene into a classic moment, setting off memorable fits of laughter in the audience.

His visit to Mons strengthened the unbreakable link between Kaamelott and the festival, and left lasting memories for everyone who loves fantasy and good humour!
