Christian Bujeau - Le Maître d'armes de Kaamelott
It is impossible to mention Kaamelott without thinking of the Maître d'armes and of the man who plays him, Christian Bujeau. A true icon of the series, he embodies that teacher, as grumpy as he is endearing, known for his doubtful teaching methods, his cutting replies and a slightly bawdy humour that has marked generations of fans.
In 2011, Christian Bujeau was guest of honour in the cinema area of the Trolls & Légendes festival. His visit remains one of the great moments of our history: he met festival-goers at warm signing sessions, and also hosted a memorable talk, screening several key episodes devoted to his character. Fans who were there still remember the actor’s closeness and simplicity, always ready to swap filming anecdotes and trade secrets.
He never hesitates to improvise to make the audience laugh, taking up his cult lines live: “Rangez-moi ce foutu barda !”, “J'vais vous dresser en moins de deux, moi !” During his visit, everyone felt they had found a mischievous uncle, or a former teacher they would have liked to have: funny, approachable, passionate.
Beyond Kaamelott, Christian Bujeau is also a recognised stage actor and a familiar face on television. But for the festival-goers of Trolls & Légendes, he will forever be the Maître d'armes, the one who makes us howl with laughter... and sometimes tremble at his demonstrations of authority!
