Bô Gaultier de Kermoal - Le garde du corps d'Attila (Kaamelott)

If Kaamelott is full of colourful characters, few are as striking (and intimidating!) as the bodyguard of Attila the Hun. That role, both formidable and subtly off-kilter, is carried on screen by Bô Gaultier de Kermoal, actor, director and artist of many trades.

A guest of the 2024 and 2025 editions of Trolls & Légendes, Bô Gaultier de Kermoal immediately found his place in the festival’s extended family. From his arrival in Mons, he impressed by his simplicity and availability: always ready to sign an autograph, share a filming anecdote or exchange a smile with visitors.

His part in the Kaamelott talks let fans learn more about the atmosphere of the series: he likes to tell how he ended up “playing the heavy” on set, and how hard it is to keep a straight face in front of the wild lines of Alexandre Astier’s company.

At Trolls & Légendes he does not hesitate to play along, to take up his character’s stance, or to improvise a few muscular exchanges for the audience’s delight. But beyond Kaamelott’s taciturn strongman, one discovers a curious and passionate artist, also a documentary director and a painter in his spare time.

The audience remembers in particular his complicity with the other Kaamelott guests: fits of laughter, shared memories and a contagious generosity that is the whole flavour of these meetings. For the fans, Bô Gaultier de Kermoal perfectly embodies the spirit of the festival: approachable, warm, and a little off-kilter.
