The Literature Pole of Trolls & Legends 2026 continues to grow with a new wave of guests that perfectly illustrates the diversity of imaginations: immersive fantasy, reinvented mythologies, "archive-like" cartographies, and illustration serving dizzying worlds. From April 3 to 5, 2026 in Mons, we will have the pleasure of welcoming Georgia Caldera, Laurent Gontier, Jean-Laurent Del Socorro, Nicolas Fructus, and Maxime Fontaine.
Georgia Caldera - The return and a breathtaking diptych
After three years of absence, Georgia Caldera returns to Trolls & Legends with a highly anticipated diptych. With The Oath of Eldenaï, she takes the reader into a Japanese-inspired, sensory, and immersive universe. We follow Eldenaï, an apprentice dancer, whose fate changes when the island formed by the body of a god-titan is attacked. Between intimate quest, divine stakes, and dangerous tensions, the narrative unfolds a romantic breath where sensuality, mystery, and impossible choices intertwine.
Laurent Gontier - Atlas Lovecraft, when the map becomes a narrative
A medievalist by training, a cartographer rooted in territories and their memories, Laurent Gontier is invited for his work on the Atlas Lovecraft. The book explores the work of H. P. Lovecraft through a rare approach: not "simple maps," but true credible files, designed as period archives (1890-1937), down to the details of typography, medium, and aging. A fascinating object-book, appealing to both Lovecraft enthusiasts and fans of imagination drawn to distant lands and more realistic-than-life fake documents.
Jean-Laurent Del Socorro - The Lovers of Ragnarök, European mythologies
Already welcomed in 2023, Jean-Laurent Del Socorro returns to Trolls & Legends with The Lovers of Ragnarök, the second part of his triptych dedicated to European mythologies. Here, he revisits Norse mythology in a narrative driven by strong emotion and an unexpected angle: as the three-year winter comes to an end and Thor senses death approaching, his companion embarks on a perilous quest. Along the way, she meets a musician from Ireland, and both find themselves facing the inevitable rise of Ragnarök.
Nicolas Fructus - Illustration in the service of unforgettable worlds
Illustrator, colorist, and a major artist of the imagination, Nicolas Fructus will be present at the festival, particularly around Noon by L. L. Kloetzer, a series he enhances with a striking visual signature. His career spans children's illustration, animation, comics, games, and large illustrated books. His work brings to life world-cities, alleys, temples, smoke, and peoples: an ideal presence to discuss how images construct, densify, and lend credibility to a fantasy universe.
Maxime Fontaine - The Prince of Rün, fantasy and uchronia in medieval France
A school teacher and author, Maxime Fontaine joins the 2026 edition with the release of his new saga The Prince of Rün. The starting point is a promise of spectacular uchronia: in 1467, the Land of Rün appears in the sky of the Kingdom of France. A quest then begins to find a mage capable of seeing the future and understanding how to stop the hordes of malevolent creatures descending upon the Earth. Magic, witchcraft, Hell, redemption, and an initiatory journey: a grand narrative fantasy, driven by adventure and a sense of wonder.
These guests join an already rich Literature Pole 2026, and more announcements will come as confirmations are made. Find their detailed pages on the pole page and stay connected: the line-up continues to grow.
