Ismaël LEGRAND

Trolls & Legends welcomes for the first time Ismaël Legrand, a young author and comic book illustrator, whose first album Deathbringer was released in November 2025 by Delcourt.

Ismaël Legrand was born on November 16, 1985, a French author of Breton origin currently residing in Combourg in Ille-et-Vilaine.
After a high school diploma in Applied Arts, he turned to studies in animation cinema, a field in which he would only work for a very short time. For several years, he navigated between various fields such as traditional animation for video games, illustration for posters or board games, as well as various freelance commissions. But his passion for storytelling eventually caught up with him. Between horror, fantasy, crime, and fantasy, ideas jostled, and after the Covid episode, a comic book project began to take shape in his mind. Deathbringer is his first
album, released in November 2025 by Editions Delcourt.

This album stands out at first glance: strong, powerful, dark fantasy as we love it! Black and white pages that highlight all the talent of this complete author. Deathbringer takes place in a medieval universe ravaged by occult forces. The story follows a solitary warrior and a young inquisitor whose fates intertwine in their struggle against a malevolent entity that devours worlds.
