An essential artist

Born on August 14, 1963, Christophe Arleston was initially a journalist, then a playwright for France Inter. A radio man, passionate about the work of voice, it was in the early 90s that he turned to comic book scripting. He then imagined series of varied styles, from humorous detective stories with Léo Loden to medieval fantasy adventures with Les maîtres Cartographes. In 1994, he achieved great public success with Lanfeust de Troy, a series illustrated by Didier Tarquin, which combines adventure, wonder, and humor. This was followed by several best-selling series, such as Trolls de Troy with Jean-Louis Mourier, Les Forêt d'Opale with Philippe Pellet, Les Naufragés d'Ythaq, then Sangre, with Adrien Floch, and Ekhö with Alessandro Barbucci. Christophe Arleston contributed significantly to the success of Éditions Soleil. In 2016, he also published a novel, Le Souper des Maléfices, with Pocket, which highlights his attachment to cooking and fine gastronomy. From 1997 to 2019, he was the founder and then editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Lanfeust Mag, which allowed him to continue his long-standing passion for the press and journalism. In 2019, following the closure of the magazine, he founded the publishing house Drakoo with Olivier Sulpice, CEO of Groupe Bamboo, where he is a partner and Editorial Director. There, he co-scripts with Audrey Alwett Le Grimoire d'Elfie (art by MiniLudvin), which immediately achieved great success. Christophe Arleston has currently sold over 15 million albums.

Focus on the Sangre series

Sangre, a little girl, sees her family massacred and her mother kidnapped by the company of the Dark raiders.
