Focus on The Children of the Woods
This project explores the strange through the story of Aliénor, a sick young girl fleeing her inventor father after discovering the truth about her condition. Accompanied by Blaise, a soul-infused automaton, she ventures into a deep forest where monsters and family secrets prove more formidable than ghosts. Through this modern fantasy tale, Andrea Casaran explores her favorite themes of siblinghood, man-machine hybridization, and the aesthetics of the monstrous.

A dark tale where a strange sibling faces various monsters, starting with their own father... For her birthday, Aliénor receives a unique gift from her inventor father: a little brother made of metal. Especially since the toy is named Blaise, like her little brother she never knew, and it is said to even have a soul, according to the inventor. The two children then flee into the depths of the woods, away from their father, but where ghosts, ghouls, and especially secrets await them...
