S.C BOYER - Le Dernier Héritier : Artéfacts et Mystères de la Guerre Éternelle

S.C. Boyer, whose first name is Sophie, writes medieval dark fantasy for those who like to torture their minds.
Anti-Manichean by nature, she always seeks to explain the indefensible. Fascinated by morally-grey characters, the Middle Ages, political and family intrigues, philosophy, Asia, the Vikings... She gathered all these passions into a saga, Le Dernier Héritier. A choral narrative, from multiple points of view, where several destinies intersect and eventually slot together like the pieces of a puzzle. What she loves is letting consequences unfold, digging into the characters' psychology, exploring borders... and erasing them. Reading her saga will make you question your most firmly held convictions about good and evil. It's disturbing. Unsettling. And that's the point.
Le Dernier Héritier is first of all a prelude. La Première Guerre, which she wrote as a one-shot. And behind that, there is a trilogy whose first volume was released last September by Écho de Plumes.
Passionate about board games, she also created a hidden-role card game to extend the experience. It combines deduction, bluff and chance. Its particularity is that the sessions are very short (5 to 10 minutes) and no two are alike.

She will be at Trolls & Légendes this year to introduce you to her universe, offer you a unique workshop to bind your own copy yourself and, if you enjoy playing, to plunge you into the Empire for the duration of a game.
