RinzArt - Le Gardien des Runes et des Secrets Ancestraux

Passionate about art and history since always, and more particularly about ancient tales and mythology, which he considers as the meeting point between historical reality and fantastic imagination. He found in Chinese ink, an ancestral and timeless medium, the ideal means to express this duality between light and darkness through the wash technique, a method of diluting ink with water. After starting with pencil, which he deemed too soft in rendering, ink naturally became his choice to enhance the depth, darkness, and power of his universes.

His work primarily develops in black and white, in a style blending a strong symbolism, offering representations that embody an idea more than just a simple scene. It also fits within a neo-classical semi-realism, drawing inspiration from academic codes while maintaining a lighter stroke, allowing for fantasy. The whole is part of a contemporary approach that updates myths with a modern sensitivity. This work is punctuated with touches of color made with watercolor, enhancing contrasts, guiding the gaze, and creating a strong visual tension between the silence of black and white and the vibration of color.

Each illustration is preceded by significant literary and historical research, focusing on architecture, costumes, symbols, and pagan rituals. Everything is documented and sourced to anchor his creations in an authentic base, while leaving room for myth and the fantastic.

During this convention, he will offer for sale prints of his works, created by himself and printed on high-quality paper, chosen to best reproduce the depth of the ink and the vibrancy of the watercolor. His goal is to invite the viewer to travel into worlds where the past comes to life, through a dark, mystical, and deeply narrative vision.
