Célia KRÉAKUPLA - Illustrations fantastiques en noir et blanc : un voyage mythologique

Célia, also known as KréaKupla, draws her inspiration from mythologies, folklores, tales, and legends, as well as from role-playing games and everything that feeds the imagination. She conveys her universe primarily through black and white linocuts, and also occasionally offers other creations.

Linocut is a craft printing technique: the illustration is carved into a linoleum plate using gouges, removing the areas that should not be printed. The raised parts form the image. Once the carving is complete, the plate is inked with a roller, and then a sheet of paper is pressed onto it, by hand or with a press, to reveal the print. This process allows for the production of unique or small series prints.

All of Célia's illustrations are original creations, carved and printed by hand in her workshop. Each print may exhibit slight variations or irregularities, due to the entirely handmade nature of the process - which makes each piece unique.

At Trolls & Légendes, Célia will carve live in her booth: an opportunity to discover her work, observe the technique in action, or simply come and exchange a few words.
