Banquises et Comètes

Banquises et Comètes, an independent publishing house created in 2014, has set itself the mission of introducing or reintroducing forgotten classics of imaginative literature to new audiences. In our catalog, you will find authors who are still well-known, but not necessarily for their incursions into SF or Fantasy, such as Alexandre Dumas, Gérard de Nerval, or Arthur Conan Doyle; but also authors who are less known today but have had a lasting influence on contemporary popular culture, such as Washington Irving for Sleepy Hollow, Edgar Allan Poe for the Dupin Trilogy, Nathaniel Hawthorne, or Théo Varlet... Each volume is accompanied by an introduction, but the rule in the choice of published texts is that they should be readable today and still have a strong evocative power.

This year we will have the pleasure of presenting for the very first time at Trolls and Legends, a new collection:

Banquises et Comètes was created by Jean-Luc Houdu and is the result of a long experience in the field of publishing. Its creator is also an author, notably of two historical thrillers, and a collection director at a peer publisher. He also signs for Banquises et Comètes the Ghost Ship, an anthology bringing together about ten texts around the Flying Dutchman.
