A rising star in fantasy

After working in video games and cinema, Ariel Holzl is dedicated to writing. Inspired by the literature of the imagination, Les Sœurs Carmines, his first novel, published by Mnémos in 2017, won the Imaginales Jeunesse award in 2018.
He is also the author of Bpocalypse and Pax automata published in 2020 and 2022 by the École des Loisirs, as well as Temps Mort in 2021, and the successful duology of Royaumes immobiles, in 2022 and 2023 (both volumes were selected for the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire in 2023 and 2024). And finally, Magie & Sentiments, Les Secrets de Longdawn, the first volume will be released in 2024 and the second in 2025.
We had the pleasure of hosting him in 2023 for the paperback release of Royaumes immobiles; and this year we will gladly welcome him again for the second volume of Magie & sentiments: L'énigme de Camford!
Don't know it? It's an addictive romantic fantasy set in a troubled Victorian era tinged with magic.
Secret agents, enchanted creatures, and fiery declarations...
England and Anglelune have recently resumed their diplomatic exchanges. Society must adapt to this small revolution, as must Gladys Hexeter, a diligent student in cryptozoology who clashes with the brutal ways of her new lunar roommate: Gwendolyn Forlorn. Against all odds, their unlikely duo ends up working, and for the first time in her life, Gladys allows herself to defy taboos, go out, and have fun. Underground balls, escapades on the Moon, and griffon races are nonetheless disrupted by strange phenomena and... by the magnetic presence of a certain William Astorm. However, it is Gwendolyn who attracts the favors of the wealthy American heir. A love triangle then forms in which earth magic, blood magic, and gold magic confront an unknown threat. Love, jealousy, revenge, diplomacy: in these games, anything goes...
No hesitation to have, come meet him! For this series or his other stories! Ariel Holzl is a quality author who varies his universes. You will surely find a novel in his bibliography to add to your TBR.
