Andréa Deslacs completed her university studies with a thesis on the vision of science fiction authors regarding the medicine of tomorrow. She is the editor-in-chief of the imaginary review Etherval. She also edited the anthology Transhumans and Post-humans, published by Arkuiris, and a second one on Clones and Chimeras.

Her detective cycle of Victorian fantasy: "Heaven Forest," in two arcs, is available from Hydralune. A published author of numerous short stories, her tale "Like a Tadpole in Water" allowed her to win the first prize ex æquo at the Visions du Futur 2017 contest and was nominated among the finalists for the Rosny aîné prize 2018.

The anthology she edited for the 10th anniversary of the review Etherval: Imaginaries of Asia: Magical and Fantastic Nature is among the finalists for the short story prize at Imaginales 2023.
